nicknamed "lube tube"

DJW Projects have just finished the install of a hybrid PA at the Passage, the brainchild of 3 friends Ed, Mark and Andy who have taken up residence at the old L’otel in Victoria St. The focus of the new venue is two-fold with a primary focus on food in the front section of the bar and as the name suggests you move further down the passage and arive into a stylish funky marble bared tube where the focus is the music. Ed Loveday the partnerships DJ has had a lot of input in this area. traditionally the L’otel venue has been plagued by noise complaints. the New owners engaged Dave Coxon of DJW Projects to look at the best solution. after removing the roof at the Darlinghurst Rd entrance the problem and cause of the problems was identified simply as the daylight above the door. A few hours later and a few sheets of Gyproc and the airgap was plugged. along with a 300kg curtain and the venue has been able to wash its punters in high quality (EAW) high level Audio. The system comprises of EAW MK series Speakers in the main areas with JBL Control 28 speaker for reinforcement in the dining areas.
